Oleksii Reznikov, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, warned the international community about the nuclear disaster in his statement to journalists, Report informs, referring to Ukrinform.
"We ask the entire international community to influence Russia in order to prevent a nuclear disaster in Europe. The continuous shelling of the city of Enerhodar and the surroundings of the Zaporizhzhia NPP is a provocation. It makes no sense for us to do this. Because we understand the consequences of a nuclear disaster," said Reznikov.
He also mentioned the Chernobyl disaster: "We survived the Chernobyl tragedy in 1986. It is the Ukrainians who know what kind of tragedy this is. Therefore, we ask the international community to influence Russia."
