Russia is waging a large-scale war against Ukraine, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov said in his address to the nation on Facebook, Report informs.
"Russia is trying to dress this war in the guise of defending the Ukrainian people," he said, "You know better than me what this 'defense' is. You know better than I do that hundreds of people have died in the three-week escalation. The Russians are now destroying Mariupol. Volnovakha and some other cities have already been wiped off the Earth. You can probably see that the Russians' plans are in vain. Ukrainian troops have already killed more than 15,000 Russian soldiers. Russia will lose this war, and there will be chaos in the country."
Reznikov also called on Russian soldiers to surrender and stop fighting. He stressed that the security of the surrendered Russian service members is guaranteed.
