Ukrainian defenders liberate nearly 16 square kilometres of territory

Ukraine's Deputy Defence Minister Hanna Maliar has reported that the Ukrainian forces liberated almost 16 square kilometers of territory over the past week, Report informs.

According to her, during the past week, the Ukrainian defense forces have advanced 12 sq. km in the south, and 4 sq. km in the direction of Bakhmut. In the course of the attack on the southern front, the Ukrainian army regained a total of 192 square kilometers. Last week, 12 sq. km in this direction and 35 sq. km in the Bakhmut direction were cleared of occupying troops.

According to the General Staff, Russia is currently concentrating its forces in the directions of Kupyansk, Limansky, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka.
