Ukrainian Armed Forces liberate village in Donetsk region, regain control over positions near Bakhmut

The Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated the village of Yatskivka in the Donetsk region. They also regained control over the positions near Bakhmut, Report informs, citing RBC Ukraine.

"In the course of the assault operations, units of the Defense Forces established control over the settlement of Yatskivka," Oleksiy Gromov, Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, told a briefing.

Gromov noted that the situation in the Bakhmut direction is difficult, but controlled. The Russian military continue shelling and try to push back the Ukrainian troops. The Russian troops are planning to cordon off Bakhmut, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine are holding the line.

"At the same time, our heroes managed to restore the previously lost positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine south of Bakhmut," he stressed.
