Ukraine has received a substantial €1.9 billion grant from the European Union as part of the ambitious Ukraine Facility program.
According to Report, which cites Ukrainian media, the Ukrainian Ministry of Finance confirmed the arrival of the funds, stating, "A tranche of unconditional financing (Pre-financing) amounting to €1.9 billion from the European Union has been credited to the state budget of Ukraine. These funds are provided through the EU's financial instrument, Ukraine Facility."
Since February 2022, the European Union has provided Ukraine with nearly €35 billion in direct budgetary assistance.
On February 1, 2024, at a summit in Brussels, EU leaders approved a comprehensive €50 billion aid package for Kyiv, spanning from 2024 to 2027, including €38.27 billion for budgetary support, €6.97 billion for an investment fund, €4.76 billion for technical and administrative support.
