Russian military equipment, including armored ones, violated the state border in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Luhansk, and Kharkiv regions, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine said in a statement, Report informs, citing Interfax-Ukraine.
"The Russian troops' offensive across the state border is preceded by artillery shelling, then military equipment moves. Russian military equipment, including armored ones, violated the state border in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Luhansk, Kharkiv regions," the message posted on the Interior Ministry's Facebook page reads.
According to the information, in particular, in the Chernihiv region, enemy equipment passed through the Senkovka and Gremyach checkpoints in other directions.
"The columns also moved through the Budarki checkpoint in the Kharkiv region and the direction of the Melovoe checkpoint in the Luhansk region. Most of the border units and border guards of the Luhansk, Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, and Zhytomyr regions were subjected to fire. According to available information, several border guards were injured," the statement said.
"The servicemen of the State Border Service of Ukraine, together with the Armed Forces, are taking all measures to stop the enemy," the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
