Ukraine's new FM mulls strategic partnership with his Polish counterpart

The new Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha has held his first telephone conversation with his Polish counterpart Radoslaw Sikorski, Report informs.

"This morning, I had my first phone call as Ukraine’s Foreign Minister with my Polish counterpart Radek Sikorski to reaffirm the Ukrainian-Polish strategic partnership and good-neighborly relations. I thanked Poland for its support for Ukraine, updated Minister Sikorski on the frontline situation, and noted the importance of further strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities. Ukraine and Poland have a common enemy and a common goal of keeping our bilateral ties strong. In a sign of respect, we held the conversation in Polish. I look forward to welcoming my Polish colleague to Kyiv soon," Sybiha wrote on X.
