Ukraine's FM: No frozen conflict, just a 30-day ceasefire with Russia discussed

A temporary ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine does not mean the freezing of the conflict, Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said in an interview with RBC Ukraine, according to Report.

"This is by no means a frozen conflict, but a temporary ceasefire for 30 days, as stated in our joint statement with the American delegation," Sybiha emphasized.

He noted that Ukraine has demonstrated to everyone that it is not the obstacle to peace.

"Now the ball is in Russia's court, which must provide the United States with an official response regarding the 30-day ceasefire. There are different official forms of confirming a state's position. As of today, this has not happened. This confirmation must be provided directly to the American side," Sybiha said.

He also noted that Ukraine will never recognize the loss of territories and is convinced that no one can forbid it from participating in various alliances, whether the European Union or NATO.
