"Our losses are more than 9,000 people," Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Anna Malyar, Report informs, citing RBK Ukraine.
She said that this is not an exact number, 'as it is impossible to count the number of fighters who died in Mariupol.'
According to Malyar, Ukraine's losses are much less compared to the other side. She linked this with the ability of the Ukrainian army:
"This is the military personnel alone. The number of dead civilians is calculated by another agency."
