Ukraine ready for constructive negotiations with Russia to achieve peace, Kuleba says

Ukraine is ready for constructive negotiations with Russia to achieve peace, Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said as he met with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in Guangzhou, according to Report, which cites Ukrainian media.

"After carefully studying the so-called 'six-point consensus' of China and Brazil, Ukraine expressed readiness for reasonable and constructive negotiations with Russia to achieve a fair and lasting peace," the minister said.

At the same time, Kuleba stated that Ukraine highly appreciates China's constructive role in strengthening peace and international order.

In turn, Wang Yi noted China's commitment to a political solution to the conflict and support for peace talks.

He said that China and Ukraine have been strategic partners for more than 10 years, and China will continue to maintain communication with Ukraine, strengthen mutual trust, and develop cooperation.
