Ukraine launches portal for missing children

On August 1, the state portal for the search of minors “Children of War” became operational in Ukraine, said the authorized representative of the President of Ukraine for child rights and child rehabilitation, Daria Gerasymchuk, at a briefing, Report informs, citing the Ukrainian media outlets.

The information platform will help law enforcement agencies to collect information about children who suffered during the war, including those who went missing or were moved to temporarily occupied territories and deported to the Russian Federation.

The number of children killed or injured in Ukraine due to the war is increasing. So far, 684 children have received injuries, 358 died, and 197 disappeared. At least 5,703 children have been illegally deported to Russia. On July 28, Gerasimchuk announced that 3,833 children were found, and another 47 children were returned from deportation.
