During a government meeting, Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan Şahym Abdrahmanow reported to the country's President about the completed negotiations with Denmark's Haldor Topsøe, Report informs.
The subject of the talks with the Danish company was a project for constructing a small-sized gas chemical plant in Turkmenistan to produce ammonia and methanol from natural gas.
As a result of the negotiations, the sides inked a Memorandum of Understanding, which will be the basis for preparing a feasibility study for the project.
It is expected that the construction of the new plant for industrial processing of natural gas will not only strengthen the import-substituting potential of the Turkmen economy, but also significantly increase the volume of exported gas chemical products.
