Türkiye resumes electricity exports to Iraq

Türkiye has resumed the export of electricity to Iraq, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar wrote on X, Report informs.

“As of yesterday, we restarted electricity exports to our neighbor Iraq, with whom we will contribute to the prosperity and peace of our region with the Development Road Project. Thanks to our investments, we will also establish the Development Road as an Energy Road,” the minister stated.

Notably, Türkiye’s electricity exports to Iraq were halted in 2023.
