Turkmenistan's President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has met with Türkiye's National Defense Minister Yasar Guler, Report informs via Neutral Turkmenistan.
The meeting focused on exploring prospects for cooperation in the defense and military spheres.
President Berdimuhamedov stressed that Turkmenistan’s military doctrine is purely defensive. He also stated that the country is creating all conditions for increasing the combat readiness of the army.
Türkiye's Defense Minister Yasar Guler was also received by Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov acknowledged Türkiye's position as a leading nation in the defense industry, highlighting the long-standing and successful military cooperation between the two countries.
The discussions also touched upon potential areas for expanding collaboration. Turkmenistan expressed readiness to consider proposals from the Turkish side.
