Turkish, US ministers mull issues of economic cooperation

Turkish Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek met with US Secretary of Treasury Janet Yellen in India on the sidelines of the G20 summit, Report informs via Anadolu.

The meeting lasted 45 minutes. The minister was accompanied by the Chairman of the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye Hafize Gaye Erkan.

During the meeting, the steps to be taken toward the development of economic and commercial cooperation opportunities between the two countries were discussed. It is aimed to increase the volume of trade between the two countries to $100 billion.

The Türkiye Investment Conference will be held in the United States on September 19. Simsek is scheduled to meet with American investors and answer questions at that meeting. US investors and Turkish companies will also meet at the meeting.
