Turkish, Serbian leaders agree on visa facilitation

Turkiye stands for the comprehensive development of cooperation with Serbia, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at a joint press conference with his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vucic on Wednesday in Belgrade, Report informs via Anadolu.

A decision was made to simplify the visa regime and start mutual trips only with identity cards. "Serbia will be the sixth country with which Turkiye has signed such an agreement," Erdogan said.

The head of state said that Turkiye is ready to increase trade with Serbia to $5 billion annually.

"According to the results of 2021, trade with Serbia increased by 33% and approached $2 billion," the Turkish leader said.

He also noted that during the talks with Vucic, regional issues were also discussed, including the processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
