Turkish ministry says cooperation with Russia on drones out of scope

The Turkish Ministry of Defense Industry does not consider the issue of possible cooperation with Russia on the joint production of drones, Turkiye's Minister of Defense Industry Ismail Demir said, Report informs, citing TASS.

"Our agenda does not include anything of this kind; we are not working on this direction," the minister told Hurriyet.

He said the process is formed as part of the Turkish policy, and they only conduct the works related to its technical side, Demir said.

CNN Turk reported on Tuesday that Russian President Vladimir Putin, at a meeting with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Tehran on July 19, allegedly offered to establish cooperation in the production of Baykar drones.
