Turkish ministry: 24M tons of agricultural products exported via grain corridor

As part of the Black Sea Grain Initiative, concluded on July 22, 2022, with the mediation of Türkiye and the UN, 24 million tons of agricultural products were exported from the ports of Ukraine, according to the Ministry of National Defense of Türkiye, Report informs referring to Anadolu Agency.

Grain from Ukrainian ports has been delivered safely to the destination countries, the ministry said in a statement.

The ministry noted that in accordance with the instructions of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and in order to successfully implement the grain deal, Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar continues contacts with colleagues from Russia and Ukraine. Dialogue is also being conducted through other channels.

At the same time, the positive reaction of the parties to the mediation initiatives of Ankara was indicated. “Türkiye will continue steps aimed at ensuring peace and the supply of humanitarian aid in the region,” the ministry stressed.
