Turkish Minister: 9 people suspected of co-op with PKK detained

Nine people suspected of cooperation with the PKK terrorist organization were detained in Türkiye, Minister of Internal Affairs Ali Yerlikaya wrote on X, Report informs.

“In the footage shared on social media and confirmed to have been filmed in Mersin, it was determined that a group was chanting slogans praising the PKK leader while dancing,” the minister stated.

According to Yerlikaya, digital materials, weapons and ammunition seized during the searches were confiscated. He added that the suspects were detained for the crime of 'Propaganda for a Terrorist Organization (PKK/KCK').

“We will continue to fight the separatist terrorist organization and its extensions 365 days a year, summer and winter,” Yerlikaya noted.
