Turkish, Jordanian FMs mull security issues

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has held a meeting in Ankara with his Jordanian counterpart Ayman al-Safadi, Report informs via Anadolu Agency.

It was noted that Jordan and Türkiye are working together to achieve stability and security in the region.

Fidan said that Türkiye, Jordan, Syria, and regional countries intend to discuss issues of joint fight against ISIS and the Kurdistan Workers' Party. According to al-Safadi, anything that threatens Türkiye's security also threatens the security of the region.

The meeting was held in a 3+3 format - along with the heads of diplomacy of both countries, it was attended by Minister of National Defense Yashar Guler, Head of National Intelligence Organization (MIT) Ibrahim Kalin, Chief of General Staff of Jordan's Armed Forces Yousef el-Huneiti, and Director of Jordan's General Intelligence Directorate Ahmed Husni.
