Turkish FM discusses Azerbaijan-Armenia peace process with US Advisor

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan highlighted the critical role of the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace process in ensuring the prosperity of the Caucasus region.

According to Report, the Turkish official made the statement during his meeting with Jake Sullivan, the National Security Advisor to the US President, in Washington.

The primary focus of the discussion was on the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Additionally, the meeting provided an opportunity for both parties to share their perspectives on the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict and the ceasefire situation in Gaza. The sides also acknowledged the urgency of declaring a ceasefire in Gaza and the need to enhance humanitarian assistance to the area.

Furthermore, the meeting underscored Türkiye’s commitment to combating terrorist organizations operating in Syria. It was conveyed that the United States is expected to align its actions with the spirit of the alliance regarding this issue.
