Turkish FM: Countries with conflicting interests oppose operations against PKK/YPG

The territorial integrity of Syria is important for Turkiye, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said in an interview with Haber Global TV, Report informs.

"The goal and purpose of the dialogue should be defined. The dialogue should be result-oriented," he said.

"Operations against the PKK/YPG are opposed by countries with conflicting interests - the United States, Russia, and Iran. However, our operations are important for the stability and sovereignty of Syria. If the local regime has the power to do it, we can also support it. But they have no such power. Terrorists will become stronger. It is a threat to all of us. Although I understand some countries, I cannot understand why the regime opposes the operations. We must continue our struggle," Cavusoglu said.
