Turkish FM: Ankara supports territorial integrity of Georgia and Ukraine

Official Ankara supports the territorial integrity of Georgia and Ukraine, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said at a press conference held with his Georgian counterpart Ilia Darchiashvili in Ankara, Report informs.

According to him, today's meeting also discussed the situation in Abkhazia and South Ossetia: "The problems in these regions should be solved on the basis of Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Today, we once again expressed our firm position on this issue. We also talked about Türkiye's contribution to solving the problems."

Fidan said they also discussed the ongoing war in Eastern Europe: "We also drew attention to our position regarding Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and exchanged views on ending this war fairly based on the principles of international law."
