Turkish expert: Azerbaijan’s actions in region fair and indicative

Azerbaijan's actions are fair and indicative in terms of establishing peace in the South Caucasus region, Chairman of the Turkish Foundation for Strategic Economic and Social Research (SETA), Burhaneddin Duran, told Report's Ankara bureau.

According to him, recent statements by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan can be considered a positive step towards a peace treaty between Baku and Yerevan. Naturally, for this it is very important to carry out a clear delimitation of borders, he said.

The expert also emphasized the importance of opening the Zangazur corridor from the point of view of developing regional communications.

"To implement all these processes, it is necessary to establish dialogue. The parties must abandon aggressive and hostile rhetoric and find a solution for peaceful coexistence. In this context, I consider Azerbaijan's actions to be fair and indicative," he said.
