The Central Bank of Türkiye is likely to keep the interest rate unchanged at 50% in November, according to leading Turkish economists' opinion ahead of the Central Bank's meeting on interest rates, Report informs referring to Turkish media.
Experts believe that the Central Bank will want to maintain the rate at its current high level, considering current inflation indicators.
Moreover, most economists are confident that the interest rate will remain at the same level until the end of the year.
There is only a small possibility that in December the regulator might reduce it by 1.5-2.5%.
The Central Bank's Monetary Policy Committee meeting will be held on November 21. If the rate remains unchanged now, it will have stayed at 50% for eight consecutive months.
