Turkish columnist talks on US undeclared war on its NATO ally

The US is in a state of unspoken and undeclared war against Türkiye, Tamer Korkmaz, columnist for the Yeni Safak newspaper, wrote, Report informs.

The indignation of the author was caused by the next exercises of the US military with the militants of the PKK.

“They show that they are allies of the PKK, not Türkiye!” he said. According to the journalist, US Special Forces Commander Jeff Dennis recently attended a ‘graduation’ ceremony for terrorists whom ‘he trained in northern Syria.’

“Türkiye is in a state of ‘secret’, unspoken, undeclared war with the US, which is actually its strategic adversary! Under these conditions, there can be no ‘new era with the US,’ Korkmaz says.

In addition, he reproached the US for sending the destroyer USS Ramage to the coast of Cyprus after the clashes between UN peacekeepers and Turkish Cypriots in the island’s buffer zone. Also, his indignation was caused by the statement of the US State Department that in 2024 the US will not apply an arms embargo to Cyprus.
