The Turkish Armed Forces have neutralized a total of 3,021 terrorists in their ongoing anti-terror operations in northern Iraq and Syria since the beginning of 2024, Report informs, citing Türkiye’s National Defense Ministry.
This includes the 62 terrorists who were eliminated in the past week.
Overall, 13,830 people have been detained since the beginning of 2024 for attempting to illegally enter Türkiye. In the past week, 85 individuals were detained for trying to infiltrate the country, eight of whom are members of the PKK terrorist group.
The ministry emphasized, "Our activities will continue to ensure the safe return of Syrians."
Additionally, the ministry stated, "The PKK/YPG-PYD terrorist group is spreading false information about their ‘good condition’. The PKK/YPG will either surrender their weapons or be destroyed."
