Erdogan underscores importance of Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway

"We have ensured the uninterrupted movement of trains on the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway," Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told the 12th Transport and Communications Council at Ataturk Airport.

Report informs that, according to the Turkish leader, the Ankara-Sivas high-speed train line will soon be commissioned. He said the work is underway on many routes.

“We have increased the length of the highway from 1,714 km to 3,532 km. In 2023, the length of the highway will increase to 4,100 km. We have increased the total length of the tunnels from 50 km to 631 km, and the length of the bridge from 311 to 710 km. We have increased the number of airports from 26 to 56, the number of flights from 50 to 127 countries and 329 destinations," Recep Tayyip Erdogan concluded.
