Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, during telephone conversations with Tajik and Kyrgyz colleagues, Sirojiddin Muhriddin and Ruslan Kazakbayev, expressed Ankara's readiness to support the settlement of the conflict between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, a source in the Turkish Foreign Ministry told RIA Novosti, Report informs.
“Our minister has held talks separately with the foreign ministers of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. Stating that our greatest desire is the settlement of the problem between the two fraternal countries by peaceful methods, he said that Turkey is ready to provide the necessary support in this matter, and expressed satisfaction with the agreement reached on the armistice,” the source said.
Earlier, the head of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan Kamchybek Tashiev, after negotiations with his Tajik counterpart Saimumin Yatimov, stressed that Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan had agreed on a complete ceasefire on the border.
