Turkey, Libya to expand oil and gas cooperation

Turkey and Libya have decided to develop cooperation in the field of oil and natural gas, Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Fatih Dönmez said on Twitter.

Report mentions, citing Anadolu, that on April 12, a meeting was held in Ankara between Dönmez and a delegation led by the Minister of Oil and Natural Gas of the Libyan National Unity Government, Mohamed Ahmed Aoun.

"We had a productive meeting with the Minister of Oil and Natural Gas of the Libyan National Unity Government, Mohamed Ahmed Aoun. We have decided to develop our cooperation, especially in the oil and natural gas sector," he said.

Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh arrived in Turkey on April 12 for an official visit. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will receive him. They will hold a one-on-one meeting. After that, a conference of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council will be held between the two countries.
