Turkey intends to purchase 40 US-made F-16 fighter jets

Turkey has applied for the purchase of 40 US-made F-16 fighter jets.

Report informs, citing Haber Global, that official Ankara also intends to modernize 80 F-16 fighter jets in its military arsenal.

The order is estimated at billions of dollars.

For it to be implemented, approval from the US Department of State and Congress is needed.
