Turkey is the host country for the largest number of refugees in the world, Turkish Ministry of National Defense Hulusi Akar said at a symposium on relations with Greece, Report reports.
“According to the United Nations (UN), Turkey is hosting the largest number of refugees globally. In this regard, a significant burden falls on Turkey. What would be the consequences for Greece and Europe if Turkey did not do so? But this problem is not Turkey’s only. Greece must change its position on this issue. Leaving people to die in the cold waters of the Aegean Sea is a crime against humanity,” Akar noted.
