Foreign Ministers of Georgia and Turkey, Mevlut Cavusoglu and David Zalkaliani have discussed the current processes and issues of security in the South Caucasus in Bucharest, Romania, Report informs, citing the Georgian Foreign Ministry. The sides stressed the importance of maintaining peace for regional development.
The ministers have once again welcomed Tbilisi's initiative to create the peace platform Azerbaijan-Georgia-Armenia.
During the meeting, the Georgian side reiterated Tbilisi's position on various regional formats and stressed the importance of the position based on respect for territorial integrity and sovereignty of all parties involved. Mevlut Cavusoglu and David Zalkaliani also exchanged views on the situation around Ukraine and the occupied territories of Georgia.
