Trade turnover between Georgia and Azerbaijan exceeds $835M

Tbilisi. 19 November. REPORT.AZ/ The trade turnover between Georgia and Azerbaijan made up $835,782,800 in January-October 2018, the National Statistics Office of Georgia said in a statement, Report’s Georgian bureau informs.

According to the statement, Azerbaijan’s share in Georgia’s total trade turnover made up 8.1% in the reporting period.

Azerbaijan follows Turkey, Russia and China among the biggest trade partners of Georgia.

Export from Georgia to Azerbaijan rose by 98.2% to $385,993,300. Azerbaijan’s share in Georgia’s export was 14%.

Import from Azerbaijan extended by 8.6% to $449,789,400. Azerbaijan had 6% share in Georgia’s total import.

Georgia’s total trade turnover in the reporting period was $10,305,900,000, which is 20.5% higher than the previous year. Georgia’s export increased by 24.5% to $2,751,000,000, import – by 19.2% to $7,555,000,000.
