Taking bilateral relations with China to a new qualitative level is a top priority for Kazakhstan, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said at a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of the State Council of China Ding Xuexiang, who is on a visit to Kazakhstan, Report informs referring to the Kazakh presidential press service.
“Bringing bilateral relations with China to a new qualitative level is the most important priority for Kazakhstan... We consider China as a very important strategic partner and have high hopes for achieving concrete results of our cooperation in all areas,” Tokayev said.
The sides discussed the state and prospects for the development of the Kazakh-Chinese strategic partnership, the progress of the implementation of agreements by the governments of the two countries.
Tokayev also noted that the 11th meeting of the Kazakh-Chinese Cooperation Committee, which took place on November 27 in Astana, plays an important role in developing joint actions in the trade and economic sphere.
