Three Kazakh citizens who lost their lives in the crash of an Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) plane on a Baku-Grozny flight near Aktau have been buried in Astana and Kostanay.
According to Report, Gauhar Shaymerdenova and her 11-year-old son Eldar Jukmagat were laid to rest in Astana today.
A funeral ceremony for 29-year-old Salima Jutayeva was also conducted in Kostanay.
On December 25, an AZAL passenger aircraft on a Baku-Grozny flight crashed near Aktau, Kazakhstan. Among the 67 people on board, 42 were Azerbaijani citizens, 16 were Russian, 6 were Kazakh, and 3 were Kyrgyz. Tragically, 38 individuals lost their lives, while 29 survived.
Preliminary evaluations indicate that the plane was shot down while in Russian airspace. Sadly, six Kazakh citizens lost their lives in the incident.
