A conference dedicated to March 31 - Day of Genocide of Azerbaijanis, the right of return of Western Azerbaijanis and demining issues in Azerbaijan was held at the Mirza Fatali Akhundov Museum of Azerbaijani Culture in Tbilisi.
As per Report, ambassadors of foreign states, experts and representatives of the public took part in the event.
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Georgia Faig Guliyev noted that despite the progress in demining, Armenia's mine terror continues to threaten civilians in the liberated territories. More than 140,000 hectares of land have already been cleared using modern technologies.
The ambassador also expressed gratitude to Georgia for the initiative on mine maps and stressed the importance of fraternal relations between the two countries. He touched upon the return of Western Azerbaijanis to their native lands.
The conference continued with panel sessions, in which historians discussed the atrocities committed by Armenian nationalists and also played documentaries reflecting the tragedy of Azerbaijanis and the idea of returning to Western Azerbaijan.
