Tajikistan's parliament ratifies agreement with Kyrgyzstan

The Tajik parliament has ratified an agreement on the state border with Kyrgyzstan, the lower house of parliament said, Report informs via TASS.

This agreement was signed on March 13 in Bishkek by the presidents of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, Emomali Rahmon and Sadyr Zhaparov, after almost 23 years of negotiations between the countries on the disputed territories.

The border that passes through complex mountainous terrain between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan is approximately 980 km.
