He added that calls continue to come into the emergency services, whose specialists immediately go to eliminate the consequences of what happened. In addition, heavy rain led to the flooding of a number of streets, and some residents are complaining about communication disruptions.
Earlier, the Moscow authorities appealed to residents to refrain from being outside during the bad weather. The Emergencies Ministry warned that on Thursday until 22:00 in Moscow, a downpour and squally wind gusts of up to 18-23 m/s were expected. From 12:00 to 17:00 there is a probability of tornadoes forming.
