Singapore Airlines flight makes emergency landing due to passenger allergy incident

A Singapore Airlines flight was forced to make an emergency landing after a passenger with a severe shellfish allergy was served a shrimp dish.

According to Report, citing the Metro publication, the incident occurred on a Singapore Airlines flight traveling from Germany to New York.

As a result, the plane diverted and made an emergency landing in Paris to provide the passenger with urgent medical care. She was subsequently taken to two different medical facilities for examination and treatment.

The passenger has filed a lawsuit against the airline. In her statement, she asserted that despite notifying the airline of her allergy in advance, she was still served food containing the allergen. She is seeking compensation for the physical and emotional harm caused by the incident, holding the airline fully responsible.
