Simonyan: Transferring control over road in Syunik to private company won't violate country's sovereignty

The possible transfer of future communications between Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan via Syunik to a private company won't violate Armenia's sovereignty, Chairman of the Parliament Alen Simonyan said, Report informs.

According to Simonyan, all points are currently being discussed.

"There is experience in transferring such functions to some organization. And if this happens, it will be regulated in accordance with the legislation of Armenia," he added.

As an example, he pointed to the presence of Russian border guards on the border of Armenia with Iran and Türkiye, noting that "we have something to think about in this matter too."

At the same time, as the speaker of the parliament of Armenia noted, no decisions have been made on this matter at the moment.
