Russia will continue to develop and support the nuclear triad as a guarantee of sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country, Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said during the thematic conference call of the Defense Ministry on Tuesday.
"We will continue to develop the nuclear triad and support its combat ability," Shoigu said.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the level of modern weapons in the nuclear triad exceeded 91%. According to him, the country will "maintain and improve the combat readiness of its nuclear triad, as this is the basis of the balance of power in the world."
