Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu has arrived in Minsk, Report informs referring to the Belarusian media.
The previous time he flew to Minsk on December 3. Then he met with his Belarusian counterpart Viktor Khrenin and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.
During the meeting with Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin, a protocol was signed to an agreement between the two countries on joint provision of regional security in the military sphere dated December 19, 1997.
Vladimir Putin is expected in Minsk on December 19. The program of the visit includes a wide range of issues. First, a meeting will be held in a wide format, where members of the governments of the two countries, heads of ministries and departments will also be present. During this conversation, issues of Belarusian-Russian integration will be discussed.
