Session of CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly starts work in Uzbekistan

The autumn session of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (IPA) began its work in Samarkand, Report informs referring to the Uzbek media.

More than 500 leaders and members of parliamentary delegations of the IPA member countries, representatives of international organizations, scientists and experts take part in the meeting.

The session will begin with meetings of the permanent commissions of the Assembly, including commissions on culture, information, agrarian policy, ecology, political issues and international cooperation.

In parallel, the CIS Youth Inter-Parliamentary Assembly will be held, which will bring together young parliamentarians from the Commonwealth countries.

As part of the meeting of the IPA CIS Council, the heads of parliamentary delegations will discuss the results of the events held in 2022 and the results of observations of election campaigns in neighboring countries.
