Senegalese woman quarantined in Türkiye amid monkeypox fears

A 34-year-old woman from Senegal has been placed under quarantine in Sakarya, Türkiye, after displaying symptoms resembling those of the monkeypox virus.

According to Report, which cites the Turkish media, the patient sought medical attention at the Emergency Department of Sakarya Training and Research Hospital, where doctors noticed suspicious skin lesions on her body.

The attending physician isolated the woman in a separate room and initiated quarantine measures to prevent potential spread of the disease. Access to the patient remains strictly limited.
