"The helicopter crash in Azerbaijan tore our heart out. We heartily share the pain of brother Azerbaijan," Selcuk Bayraktar, the Chief Technology Officer of Turkish high technology company Baykar, wrote on Twitter.

"May our martyred heroic soldiers' soul rejoice in God's mercy, and may God grant him the highest of Jannah. I wish our wounded officers a speedy recovery. I offer my condolences to the Turkish nation," he said.

A military helicopter of the State Border Service crashed during training flights at the Garaheybat Training Centre in the Khizi district. As a result of the accident, 14 officers were killed, and 2 others were injured.

The Investigation Department of the General Prosecutor's Office opened a criminal case under Article 352.2 of the Criminal Code (Violation of the rules of flight or preparation for flight, resulting in the death of two or more persons by negligence) and other articles. The investigation of the criminal case has been taken under exceptional control by the Prosecutor General.
