Georgia will hold the second round of mayoral elections in at least 20 cities, including the capital Tbilisi, the Georgian Central Election Commission said after counting about 40% of the ballots from yesterday’s local elections, Report informs.
According to preliminary results, the ruling Georgian Dream Party has won a majority in only 44 of the 64 cities.
According to Georgian law, the second round of elections will be held on Saturday, October 30, four weeks after the first round.
