Schools on holiday in Ankara due to heavy rains

Education was suspended for one day in Ankara due to heavy rains, Report informs, citing Turkish media.

The governor's office issued another warning to the capital:

"According to the latest meteorological evaluations, on Monday, June 13 (tomorrow), we should be careful and cautious against negativities such as sudden floods, floods, lightning, and disruptions in transportation, as strong local thunderstorms, strong winds, and hail during precipitation are expected in our province."

Ankara Governor Vasip Sahin made the following statements on his social media account:

"According to the latest meteorological evaluations, since heavy rain is expected all day on June 13, education in all primary and secondary schools throughout our province has been suspended for one day on Monday so that our students do not encounter any negativity."

While floods have been experienced in many regions due to the heavy rains that have been effective for a few days in Ankara, a person who was caught in the flood lost his life, and a missing person is being sought.
