Russian officer killed in Ukraine

Lieutenant Colonel Dibir Dibirov, serving in the 291st Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 42nd Motorized Rifle Guards Division of the Russian Land Forces, was killed in military operations in Ukraine, Report informs via UNIAN.

The 291st Motorized Rifle Guards Regiment is based in the Chechen town of Borza. It was noted that Dibirov earlier fought in Syria among the forces loyal to Bashar al-Assad. He reportedly killed civilians.

As of April 6, 1,083 Russian officers, including junior officers and generals, were killed in Ukraine, according to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The identities of 217 of them have been identified.
