Russian MFA strongly criticizes Armenian leadership, calls for implementation of tripartite statements

Just two days ago, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov commented on the growing anti-Russian rhetoric in Armenia, Maria Zakharova, spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, told Komsomolskaya Pravda, Report informs.

"Rhetoric should help resolve the situation. Everyone is used to igniting and splitting," she added.

Zakharova emphasized that not everyone is able to reconcile, help, restore, and unite, and it is necessary to make efforts and work for this.

The Russian MFA official also commented on the recent events in Armenia and the Karabakh economic region of Azerbaijan.

Zakharova answered the journalist's question, "Is there a chance to get out of the current impasse peacefully?" as follows:

"This chance for peace is reflected in three documents prepared through the mediation of Russia. As a result of the efforts of Moscow and the President of Russia Vladimir Putin personally, the document passed into the regulatory category. Everyone agreed on it, and since 2020, the relevance of these documents and their historical role have been repeatedly mentioned. They just need to be implemented."
